We are a small workshop that makes one-off pieces in solid timber: mud kitchens and outdoor classrooms for preschools, name boards and reading nooks for aftercares, planters and benches for gardens at home. You send us the idea or a photo. We build it to fit your space.

Mud kitchens, water walls, sandpits, low tables and cubbies. Built heavier than domestic pieces because twenty children will use them every day.

Outdoor classrooms, reading nooks, benches, notice and name boards. We quote per project, invoice the school directly, and can deliver in phases across a term.

A bed, a play kitchen, a name board, a piece for a birthday. Small enough orders are welcome. Most of our parents come back for a second one.

Planters, benches, herb boxes, screens and décor made to weather outside. Sealed for South African sun and rain, and re-oilable years later.
Non-toxic, child-safe sealers and paints. Nothing that flakes into a sandpit.
Every edge rounded and sanded. Screws countersunk and capped, no exposed heads at child height.
Mud kitchens, water walls and sensory boards are designed for open-ended, messy, outdoor play: the kind teachers actually plan lessons around.
Nothing here is a catalogue item. Every piece was made for one customer, at their size, in their finish. Tap any photo to enquire about something similar.

Looking for something that isn't here? Send us a photo of it. Most of what we build starts that way.
A WhatsApp message, a sketch, or a photo you saw somewhere. Tell us the space it has to fit.
Sizes, timber, finish, delivery and price. A deposit confirms the order and we start the build. Schools get a formal quote and invoice for their order number.
Around four weeks for most pieces. You get progress photos before it is sealed, so changes are still easy.
We deliver assembled where we can, and put it where it needs to stand. Larger playground pieces are installed on site.
We are a family workshop in Johannesburg. Every piece is drawn, cut, sanded and sealed here, by the same people, which is why we can change a size for you the week you ask.

One bench, one spray booth and a yard to assemble in. Small enough that nothing leaves without being looked over, big enough to build an outdoor classroom in sections.

Ian draws and builds, and the rest of the family sands, paints and delivers. You will speak to whoever is making your piece rather than to a call centre.

Table saw, router, planer and a lot of clamps. Nothing is flat-packed or bought in: joints are cut here, edges are rounded here, and the finish goes on here.
“The mud kitchen has not stopped being used since the day it arrived. It is heavier and better made than any of the other ones we have purchased, and it cost us less.”
“They built all the pieces for our outdoor play area in two phases so we could split it over two terms. Quoting and invoicing was straightforward for our admin.”
“I sent a photo I found online and asked if they could make it in a smaller size for our patio. It came back better than the picture.”
